Earlier this morning, along the lower section of Waltham Park Road in Kingston, brazen gunmen set fire to items which were then used to block the road and fired shots in the air, as they protested Tuesday’s killing (by the police) of an alleged fellow gunman, who was identified only by the alias ‘Cup Head’. According to reports, the dead man was a gang leader in the nearby Fitzgerald Lane community and was a known gunman who was wanted for several crimes, including murder.
Scores of motorists and pedestrians were reportedly forced to flee the vicinity as his cronies lit fires and fired shots in protest. Police from the Hunts Bay Police Station were greeted with gunshots as they arrived on the scene, but the gunmen reportedly retreated soon after.
A five year old girl, Christina Salmon, was brutally shot and killed by gunmen in Glendevon, St. James yesterday, after her father dared to drive their family car through a blockade, and it was sprayed with bullets.
According to police reports, at approximately 8:30 a.m. yesterday, the father was transporting his two daughters to school. While traveling along Felicity Road in the dreaded crime-plagued community of Glendevon, he slowed to navigate debris which had been used to create a blockade, but as he did this, several gunmen mercilessly sprayed their vehicle with bullets, injuring all three.
The father, who had been shot in the mouth and neck, managed to drive the car with his blood-drenched daughters to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where Christiana was pronounced dead, and he and the other child were treated. Their conditions were said to be serious.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 3 in the afternoon, and appeared to have stemmed from an altercation between men in sections of Half-Way-Tree earlier that day. The gunmen were reportedly waiting on the bus, and as it reached the vicinity of Torrington Bridge, they signalled the bus driver to stop. When the bus driver failed to stop, the men reportedly opened fire at the bus, riddling it with bullets.
The injured students are said to be in stable condition at hospital.
Mourners at a ‘nine night’ celebration at a yard in Whitehouse, St. Catherine, were in for the shock of their lives recently, when heavily armed gunmen held up the mourners and robbed them of all the food that was on hand.
The mourners were not harmed, and the gunmen simply left with the containers of curried goat, chicken and soup. The incident reportedly occured at around 2:30 a.m. in the morning.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that this has been one of many such brazen attacks by a group of gunmen who have been terrorising residents of Whitehouse and surrounding areas in St. Catherine. The police are said to be investigating.

The robbery victim was taken to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
