There’s a new sexual enhancement that has been making the rounds here in Jamaica. It’s actually a chewing gum called Sexlets; it promises to freshen the mouth AND boosy a man’s sexual prowess.
Sexlets reportedly make sex more prolonged, and its promoters also claim that it helps to make the male organ thicker, harder, firmer and producing a more powerful erection. The gum hit the market a few months ago, and is said to be in high demand by men who simply have to chew one piece of gum three times daily, in order to enjoy the benefits later (within 20 minutes to two hours after chewing).
They are not cheap however, as a pack of 15 Sexlet gums currently retails for approximately $5,000.
A 17 year old boy who is accused of murdering another 17 year old boy during an argument over a 13 year old girl, was denied bail when he appeared in the Spanish Town Criminal Court earlier this week. The youth was remanded in a juvenile home, and his case transferred to the St. Catherine’s Children’s Court, where the matter will be mentioned on March 25.
The court heard that on February 13, 2010 at approximately 2:15 a.m., the boys were on the notoriously volatile Chambers Lane in Spanish Town arguing about a girl. Allegations are that the accused pulled a gun and shot Monaire Maulseed in the eye; he died on the spot. Another boy, a 16 year old, was also reportedly shot and injured during the incident.
Thugs armed with machetes and knives reportedly invaded the Meadowbrook High School in St. Andrew yesterday, where they held up the students of an 11th grade class and robbed them of laptop computers (two in total), a computer game, flash drives and other items. The men reportedly entered the school compound, by climbing over a section of the school’s rear perimeter fence. A physical education teacher who attempted to hold on to one of the men as they made their escape, was reportedly stabbed in the abdomen. He is said to be in serious but stable condition at hospital.
Two brothers, 39 year old Peter Smith and 34 year old Errol Smith, who had been arrested and charged jointly with beating and chopping a barmaid with a machete last year, were each released on $300,000 bail when they appeared in the Old Harbour Criminal Court.
According to reports, on June 25, 2009, the complainant reportedly made insulting remarks about the Smiths’ sister. The brothers allegedly went to the complainant’s bar, where one used a machete to chop her in the face and on the hand. She reportedly ran out of the bar in a bid to escape, and both brothers allegedly attacked her with stones (which hit her in the head).
A report was made and arrest warrants were drawn for the brothers. They were arrested in January of this year, and charged with Wounding With Intent. They are to return to court on May 27, when the matter will again be mentioned.
Yonique Webb, a woman who is accused of using a pot cover to hit her 78-year-old grandmother, appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday, where she faced the charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.
The court heard that on the day in question, the grandmother and the accused woman’s boyfriend had an argument. The accused then came along and allegedly used a pot cover to slap her grandmother on the shoulder.
The accused woman’s father was in court yesterday, and along with the accused, they challenged the complainant’s version of the incident. According to him, the complainant wanted to ‘control the yard’, and on many occasions, referred to the accused as a ‘jacket’.
The judge ordered that the entire family receive counselling from the probation department. They are to return to court on April 29.
Adeil Lee, a 28 year old fisherman, who attacked another fisherman with a crowbar and knocked out three of his teeth during a dispute over drinking water, drinking water, was offered bail in the sum of $70,000 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court recently. Lee faces a charge of felonious wounding.
The court heard that on the evening of February 26, 2010, the complainant took his water to the Pedro Cays, and warned his fisherman colleagues not to use it. He left the location, and upon his return, saw that someone had used the water. He reportedly became furious and saw Lee eating a bowl of cornflakes, and knocked it out of his hands. This resulted in an argument. Later that evening, Lee allegedly used the crowbar to hit the complainant in his mouth while they were loading fish unto a boat. As a result of the blow, the complainant became unconscious, lost three teeth, suffered a broken gum and also a cut on his upper lip.
He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was admitted for two days. Lee is to return to court on April 12.
Bradley Hamilton, a 25 year old farmer of Mount Pleasant in Portland, died at the Port Antonio Hospital as a result of injuries that he received earlier today during a domestic dispute.
Reports indicate that the deceased had a dispute with a man over deer meat, and the man allegedly used a cutting implement to cut Hamilton. Residents allege that Hamilton was being harassed by the man for a share of deer meat (or proceeds of its sale) which Hamilton had in his possession.
Deer have been roaming wild the hills of Portland since Hurricane Gilbert in1988, when several escaped from their fenced areas at the Somerset Falls, where they were being kept as a tourist attraction. Deer meat reportedly fetches good prices at the market.
A woman accused of luring a teenage girl to her home and sexually assaulting her, was granted bail in the sum of J$100,000 when she appeared recently in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.
The incident allegedly took place on Feburary 27, at the August Town, Kingston home of the “heavily-built” 22 year old accused. According to reports, the 15 year old complainant and the accused became friends after the complainant went to her and inquired as to whether or not she was a lesbian (which the complainant confirmed to her). They reportedly started communicating by phone and attending parties together, and it is alleged that the accused french-kissed the complainant on one occasion.
On the day in question, which was also the complainant’s birthday, the accused allegedly told the teenager to follow her home for money for a party. However, when the complainant got to the house, she saw two men there, and the accused then told her that she did not bring her there to give her money. The accused then allegedly pushed the complainant on the bed and performed oral sex on her while one of the men held her down. It is further alleged that both men then took turns raping her and performing anal sex on her.
The matter was reported to the police, and the accused was arrested. The two men are now being sought by the police, and the accused has been charged with aiding and abetting rape, indecent assault and buggery. She will return to court on April 8 for a preliminary hearing.
Not even the wheelchair-bound are spared the wrath of gunmen in Jamaica. Twenty year old Cherado Gooden, a paraplegic of Logwood District in Westmoreland, was shot and killed by a gunman at his home on Tuesday night (March 9).
According to reports, Gooden was at home when a man armed with a gun entered his room. The gunman opened fire, hitting the disabled man several times before escaping. Gooden died on the spot. The Savanna-la-mar CIB are investigating.
Andrew Fletcher, a 22 year old man who allegedly tried to burn down the house of his child’s mother, while she and her new lover were inside the house on Valentine’s Day, was offered $80,000 bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court recently. Fletcher is charged with arson, attempted murder and malicious destruction of property.
The court heard that on Valentine’s Day this year, Fletcher visited the home of his ex-lover in Havendale, St Andrew. Upon his arrival, Fletcher reportedly saw the complainant’s lover, who is also the father of one of her children. Fletcher reportedly became enraged and went to his car for a bottle of gasoline, which he used to douse the complainant’s house before setting it ablaze. The fire, which only damaged a door, was put out by the other man whose swift action prevented further damage.
The matter was reported to the police and Fletcher was later arrested and charged. He is scheduled to return to court for trial on April 12.
