Daylight Robbery At KFC on Hope Road
Here’s a personal account that we received recently, of a robbery that took place at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on Hope Road in Kingston.
This is a true Story and let it be a warning to all persons who buy Kentucky from this location.
On Saturday 15/08/09 at about 2 p.m. my daughter was held up at gun point and robbed of her vehicle on the compound of KFC Old Hope Road Branch.
She stopped along with a co-worker, to purchase lunch for the rest of the staff. The car was parked immediately in front of the building in the parking lot which would normally be in view of the security as would have been the case on previous occasions.
After leaving the building she opened the car to place the goods on the seat and was ready to get into the drivers seat when a MAN grabbed on to her hand in which she held the key for her vehicle. Her co-worker who was by the door of the passenger side was already covered by another MAN who had a GUN. At that point the MAN on the driver’s side managed to take the keys and they drove off in the direction of Liguanea.
Immediately after the ordeal both my daughter and her co-worker ran into the building asking persons to call for the POLICE and informed them of what had happened.
THE SECURITY SAID HE DID NOT SEE WHAT HAPPENED; and it is also a REGULAR PRACTICE for persons to linger on the KFC compound.
There are several Questions left unanswered, most of which KFC wouldn’t even attempt to respond to.
This ordeal poses a clear and present danger to the lives of current and potential customers of KFC/Old Hope Road .
This situation has caused mental, emotional and physical trauma to persons involved not to mention that it is an extreme inconvenience.
SHOULD WE REALLY BE ENCOURAGING PERSONS TO BE PUTTING THEMSELVES IN DANGER BY GOING TO KFC (or any fast food location for that matter); Do they have their customer’s interest at heart or is it just their cash register?
If this even happened one time it is one time too many.

WE NEED TO PROTECT OUR PEOPLE FROM DANGER AND THESE GUNMEN.
