New Minimum Wage Takes Effect Today

As of today, May 11-2009, the new minimum wage for workers in Jamaica is $4,070 per week, up from $3,700 per week … a 10 per cent increase.

I think this was long overdue. I still think that’s still not enough but at least it has increase. God bless the poor people of my sweet country Jamaica
